What is the diploma qualification?
Diploma Qualification Guide Book
The qualification is designed for candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare, style, and finish a range of cat breeds; understand health and safety in a cat grooming salon; practise business management, and gain skills in feline emergency first aid. The course is delivered over a minimum of 15 days of practical training at Absolutely Animals, with an additional 18.5 days of online lessons from home and an online portfolio that meets the 267 guided learning hours.
Personal instruction from Heidi Anderton will be part of the online lessons.
This NEW qualification in the canine and feline sectors has been developed by iPet Network. Over the period of 15 days, you will groom at least 20 cats, including a minimum of 8 different breeds, covering 4 different coat types, but often many more. There are no prerequisites to starting the qualification, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower-level course first.
Students will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling, and nail trimming on a variety of cat breeds.

Our aim is to improve industry standards by ensuring you walk out of our school fully qualified, confident, and competent.
The iPet Network Level 3 Diploma in Cat Grooming and Salon Management will demonstrate to an employer or the general public that candidates have the necessary technical skills and knowledge to successfully groom a range of cat breeds. This is a formal, regulated, nationally recognised qualification that will remain relevant throughout the candidate’s career and can only be achieved by reaching the required skill level. It has been designed specifically for those looking to become professional cat groomers or those who already groom cats (as a hobby or career) but do not currently hold a nationally recognised qualification. This approach and elements are unique to our course syllabus, making the qualification a more rounded and robust qualification.
A fast-track option is also available for experienced groomers seeking a formal qualification to confirm their skill level or those who have undertaken other qualifications but see the benefit of gaining the iPet Network qualification.
