Terms and Conditions of Booking
You have seven working days from the date of your deposit payment, to change your mind, and as such are entitled to a refund. You must inform us in writing should this be the case. In this case there will be an administrative cost of £100 deducted before the refund is made.
Should your course be taken within the seven working days, this entitlement will not apply.
Please note the course fees paid are non-refundable after the seven days have expired and as such we advise any students on our pre-booked courses to protect themselves against cancellation or curtailment with an insurance policy.
We do not offer this service and cannot recommend any company for this service.
Days booked and not attended are deemed as lost unless pre-arranged with the school. The school takes no responsibility in replacing lost days without applying further charges. Outstanding days not taken within 1 year of initial application are deemed as expired and will not be replaced.
Absolutely Animals reserves the right to update/change the terms and conditions for this contract as required.

Diploma Contract
Candidates are required to download, print off and read the guidelines and the examiners marking sheets which are available on the Absolutely Animals Website.
This exam is your responsibility and you need to be aware of the criteria which is to be marked and met.
You will need to attend Absolutely Animals the day before your exam to prepare your dog. This is part of the examination requirements and makes up one day training.
Candidates are required to bring all their own equipment and chargers for the Diploma exams. Absolutely Animals will take no responsibility for lost, broken, stolen equipment or personal items of the candidate. Please note: lockers are available.
Dogs provided by Absolutely Animals Ltd are deemed to be suitable for the level 3 Diploma exam as per the City and Guilds guidelines - healthy, good natured and plentiful in coat to achieve the trim to the best of our knowledge.
Exam requirements
Once in the hands of the candidate, the dog is the responsibility of the candidate. The candidate has agreed the subject fits the guidelines for the exam. The candidate is responsible for the welfare of the dog throughout its stay which includes: making water available for the dog, supplying sufficient toilet breaks and suitable resting area. The responsibilities should conform to the animal welfare act. The pet must not leave the premises or the agreed area of the premises.
Any loss of marks during the exam due to personal critiques from the examiner or a fail is the responsibility of the candidate. Any retakes will incur additional fees. Absolutely Animals takes no responsibility for failings or low marks.
Absolutely Animals can take no responsibility for unforeseen behaviour of the dog whilst in the hands of the candidate; this is seen to be the candidate’s responsibility and product of personal handling skills.
Should the arranged dog not be made available on the day due to unforeseen circumstances, Absolutely Animals will endeavour to make a replacement available. If a dog cannot be made available Absolutely Animals will re-register for the next available exam at no expense to the candidate however Absolutely Animals do not accept any other expenses incurred by the candidate such as travel costs, accommodation etc.
Disputes
Any disputes regarding the exam should be taken up with City and Guilds or Absolutely Animals following their own formal dispute process
In the event of the exam being cancelled for any reason by the candidate or City and Guilds the exam will be re-arranged at no expense to Absolutely Animals Ltd.
Please note there must be 9 modules registered for the exam to go ahead. The exam will be confirmed once this has been met, six weeks before the date of the exam.
Candidates are advised to take before and after pictures of their dogs.
Salon Requirements
You are required to use safe and professional handling and restraint techniques of the animal/s in your care at all time and must agree to the following
a) You will adhere to Absolutely Animals Health and Safety policy at all times
b) B) You will treat the animals in our establishment humanely and professionally at all times
Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the premises immediately with no refund of course or exam fees and any part thereof.
All students can be expected to be treated with respect, dignity and professionalism and in return students are required to extend the same to all members of the staff and clients. Students must refrain from using sexist, homophobic, ageist and racist language and actions and to respect the personal space and property of the salon, staff and clients. Failure to do so will lead to a written warning and any further incident will result in students being asked to leave the premises with no refund of fees or part thereof.
All salon equipment should be used with care and as per instructions. Any student damaging or breaking equipment after being instructed in its proper care will be required to replace it immediately.
It is a condition of all courses that students ensure every area used in the salon has been thoroughly cleansed before leaving at the end of the day. It is an essential part of running a salon and students are not permitted to leave this task to other trainees or salon staff. Thorough cleaning is necessary in order to conform to Health and Safety procedures.

The candidate must bring photo ID to any examination. Failure to do so resulting in cancellation of an exam will be re-arranged at the candidates expense.
